Statistics such as 391,000 injured and 3,477 dead might sound like war or natural disaster casualties but, in fact, they are the number of people killed or injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA, 2017) 2015 data from National Center for Statistics and Analysis.
