RS 200 - Our mid-range research driving simulator

The DriveSafety™ RS 200 simulator was developed as an affordable option for therapists who need to address driving-related issues in their practices. Packed with clinician-oriented features, the RS 200 includes powerful tools that help therapists exercise and measure their clients’ visual, cognitive and motor functions. Useful in a wide variety of applications, the RS 200 uses powerful Hyperdrive authoring suite™ and incorporates many of the capabilities of DriveSafety’s full-scale research simulators but without the full automotive cab. The RS 200 features outstanding fidelity and face validity and has undergone extensive usability studies with both clients and practitioners.

Our research simulators allow us to create precise scenarios and use them repeatedly with a wide variety of patients. This repeatability across a broad sample helps in our research and limits the uncontrollable variables that exist on the open road or even in a parking lot.

System Highlights

A Complete Simulated Driving System

The custom-designed console with electric height adjustment enables drivers to sit comfortably as they experience simulated driving scenarios and ambient traffic. The RS 200 operator interface is easy for clinicians to use from a dedicated touchscreen tablet, which is included with the system.

Special Configurations

The system comes ready to add adaptive equipment including hand controls, a spinner knob and a left-foot accelerator to help with driving rehabilitation. The simulator offers a risk-free environment for patients with disabilities to learn how to use adaptive equipment to safely drive again.
