DriveSafety’s driving simulation systems are used by researchers and medical professionals throughout the world. Subject-matter experts use the simulators to better understand driving issues including psychology, neurology, human factors, patient rehabilitation as well as traffic behavior and road design.
DriveSafety’s DS research and CDS clinical driving simulators are coupled with Vection™ real-time simulation software and either HyperDrive Authoring Suite™, an advanced scenario authoring tool, or CDS Scenarios™, a group of pre-programmed driving scenarios for driving practice, rehabilitation and training. They allow the driving researcher to create targeted driving scenarios leveraging DriveSafety’s library of roads, intersections, vehicles, traffic patterns, landscapes, and scripting capabilities. For the medical professional, they allow the clinician to leverage the suite of existing practice and rehabilitation drives. The subject-matter experts are given the ability monitor and collect specific driver behavior data.
DriveSafety’s simulation systems are used to conduct research in automotive and roadway design, traffic control and safety measures, human-machine interaction, and many characteristics of drivers themselves, such as perception, judgment, and response to different traffic situations, and other issues of driver choice and behavior. The simulators allow experts to use consistent and repeatable driving experiences to study many different drivers.
DriveSafety has an impressive list of customers at some of the world’s leading universities, automobile manufacturers, rehabilitation centers and private research labs. DriveSafety supports these customers’ research and medical goals with an extensive support structure, on-site and remote training options, and end user discussion forums.
